Volue, a leader in software which enables its customers to succeed in the energy transition, has completed a deal to acquire smartPulse, a leading fullsuite shortterm power trading and battery optimisation platform for asset owners and aggregators across Europe.

The acquisition significantly accelerates Volue’s expansion into Central and Eastern Europe, Southern Europe and Türkiye. It leads to an expanded offering with a comprehensive suite that now covers forecasting, position management, scheduling and nomination, dayahead bidding, intraday trading, battery optimisation and asset connectivity.

Founded in 2018, smartPulse is a certified Independent Software Vendor (ISV) at EPEX SPOT, Nord Pool and various other European energy exchanges, operating with a team of more than 80 energy market specialists.

The company will benefit from Volue’s resources and expertise to further accelerate its development and geographic expansion over the coming years, while also strengthening its end-to-end value proposition. Volue’s commercial team will bring the smartPulse platform to existing and new customers across Europe.

On the deal, Martin Vieider, Interim CEO & CTrO of Volue, said: “With this acquisition, we accelerate our expansion into new European markets and strengthen our position as a full-suite provider for renewable asset operators.

“The move directly enhances our battery storage and optimisation capabilities, deepens our presence across regions, and supports our ambition of becoming the leading global independent energy software player.”

Helmut Spindler, General Manager of Volue Energy Software, commented: “smartPulse gives us a scalable, endtoend platform that perfectly complements Volue’s modular solutions. We can now address all needs of asset owners, from monitoring and scheduling to intraday algorithmic trading and battery optimisation, through a single, integrated suite.”

Önder Akar, CEO and co‑founder of smartPulse, added: “Joining Volue enables us to accelerate our European rollout of TSO connections and broaden our suite internationally, while giving our customers the confidence of a marketleading global partner. We share Volue’s ambition of connecting assets to markets, and we’re excited to scale that vision together.”
